Will I Be Reborn From The Ashes?

          Many people in India believe that they will be reborn through reincarnation when they die, even though their ashes will sink down into the water of the Ganges River.

          The funeral boats of Varanasi are piled high with the corpses of people who have believed this. In life, these persons had worried that they might come back to the Earth as some despised animal or as an insect.

          The Holy Bible teaches that we don't need to worry about that problem. It teaches that all humans are given an Eternal Life of the spirit at the moment of conception in a mother's womb. ¹ This is granted by God to everyone on Earth even before the moment of birth. At the moment of death, a human spirit will go to be with God eternally— or else it will go into eternal exile, to be forever separated from God Almighty. ²

          This is the problem that we can correctly worry about.

          God is a God of Love,³ but He is too pure and holy to keep company with an extremely sinful human being. The Lord God Almighty is Holy and Righteous, so He will not allow that which is evil to get close to Him. ⁴ He will have His way in this matter, as in all else, because He is Lord of our Universe.

          But the Holy and Righteous God has made a Way for us, a route by which sinful human beings can still stand in His presence! There is a Way by which sinners can be credited with the Holiness and the Righteousness of Jesus Christ.⁵ There is a Way to break the sin-addiction and be reborn.

          The Bible teaches that we humans can be reborn in only one way, and that is through faith in Jesus Christ.⁶ A human being is reborn during his life on Earth when he first places his trust in Jesus Christ as the Only True Son of God, the Holy One Who alone is sinless among all the generations of humanity that have lived on the Earth. ⁷

          Jesus is set apart from the rest of the human race because He was born of a virgin and had no human father.⁸ His Father was God Almighty, and Joseph (the husband of Mary) was only His guardian. He was God in human form all through His lifetime on Earth, at the moment of His birth and on the day of His crucifixion.

          Even before He walked on the Earth in human form, Christ existed with God as God The Son. He was with God when the Universe was first created.⁹ God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit form a Triune God— three Persons in One God. ¹⁰

          This is how Jesus could live a sinless life on Earth and then die, by the will of His Father, as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity.¹¹

          The Incarnation of God in the body of Jesus Christ is a far more important idea than any strange concept of humans becoming "reincarnated" as dogs, cats, or bugs!

          God's Incarnation as Jesus Christ is Truth, more important than any dream of repetitious reincarnation for the human spirit! It represents the fact of God's own intervention in the affairs of humanity— an act by which He would bring salvation to Earth. . . a rescue for anyone wise enough to accept His authority.¹²

          Humans can be reborn during life on Earth when they accept forgiveness for their sins through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God's Only True Son, Who died on a cross for the sins of humanity.¹³

          That is the first time of rebirth, the moment when a person becomes a Christian and a True Believer of God's Holy Word.¹⁴

          The water of the Ganges River will not help you to be reborn, but Jesus Christ can give you a real Water of Life that will be always inside you, becoming in you a wellspring of Eternal Life.¹⁵ This Living Water allows you to be reborn in Jesus' name. You then call yourself a Christian, a believer of God's Holy Word. ¹⁶

          But there is a second time of rebirth, as well, for a Christian believer.¹⁷ The Bible teaches us that we who are Christians will eventually be reborn in new bodies on Resurrection Day. ¹⁸

          Jesus Christ was resurrected from the grave after His crucifixion— He came back again in a new and glorified Resurrection Body.¹⁹ The Bible teaches that all the True Believers of Christ will one day get a new Resurrection Body, a glorified body which is somewhat like that of Jesus Christ. ²⁰

          Jesus was a first example of the Resurrection and the rebirth in a Glorified Body, but millions more will receive a new body on Resurrection Day, after Christ has returned for the Renewal of All Things! ²¹

          This is a kind of reincarnation that really matters! I want to be one of those people who get to spend eternity with God The Father and Jesus Christ– don't you?

          Jesus said that He will take His followers to a City of God, the New Jerusalem, where a River of Life flows forevermore.²²

          This is the true River of Life— more glorious than any ordinary river on Earth. It has more life-energy than the Ganges River, and it's a lot more holy too!

          Will you believe in Jesus and receive the Water of Life which He offers to you?

          It's your only reliable means of rebirth!

          Jesus said that outside the City of God will be "the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and all liars." ²³ These people will be banished eternally from the City of Heaven which Christ has prepared for His followers.²⁴ They will have to experience an eternity of remorse and all the unpleasantness of Hell. ²⁵

          That's a far worse fate than the idea of a reincarnationist or a Hindu, who worries that his/her spirit might be reborn temporarily as a dog or a bug!

          The Source of Life is not the River Ganges. The Source of real Life is Jesus Christ, Who can give you an Eternal Life with God.

          Jesus Christ declared that He existed even before Abraham. "Before Abraham was born, I AM."²⁶ He insisted that He is united with God The Father, saying, "I and the Father are One." ²⁷ If you wish to know the nature of God, you need only study the face of Jesus, Who reveals for humanity the personality of His Father.²⁸

          Jesus declared, "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life."²⁹ No person comes to God The Father except through Him.³⁰

          Jesus is the Door to Heaven and He is also the only route by which humans may enter the presence of the Almighty God, Who is our Father in Heaven above. He is the Gateway to Enlightenment, the means by which we humans are able to receive the Holy Spirit of God.

          Jesus Christ is the great Truth of our Universe and He is the Light of our Universe. He shows us the Way to God, the path by which we may reach the Higher Realm of His Father.

          Jesus says He is the Way, and it's the only route that works. More than one and one-half billion people world-wide now recognize the Divinity of this Holy Person Who came to Earth for the salvation of humanity.

          You have sought the Truth for many years, for all of your lifetime on Earth...

          Now you have heard the Truth of Jesus Christ, and you have been shown the Way to the Light of the Universe.

          Jesus is the Light of the World, and He can illuminate a dark and evil environment that surrounds you, showing you the right way to go. He can be a light for your path and a lamp to your feet. He will give you hope, the promise of a future life in Heaven and on the New Earth. He is Divine, and He is the Truth, the Word of God.

          How can you get the Truth of God into your heart? Just ask that God Who is the Father of Jesus Christ will place His Holy Spirit inside you and give you understanding of the Holy Scriptures in the Bible. You will then see Jesus as what He truly is: the Divine and Ever-Holy Son of God.

          You gain Eternal Life with God by placing Jesus Christ, Who in the Trinity of God created our Universe, upon a throne at the center of your heart! He deserves that position and that kind of respect. He was first God The Son, but when born in human flesh He became the only sinless and righteous person who ever lived. Yet He has sacrificed Himself on a cross for your sake, taking all guilt and sins upon Himself– for you and for me, and for all people everywhere on Earth— that whoever wishes for salvation may be rescued from the due punishment of sins.

          If you will do this, you will gain a new contentment and peace as you accept God's organizational plan for the Universe . . . because you'll be letting God be the Ruler of All Things in this world . . . and in your own life.

          All it really takes is a simple but sincere little prayer— one that you should make up in your own words. The prayer for deliverance and for God's leadership should come from your own heart!

          Some important elements that you might include are:

          1) your desire to turn away from the wrongness or evil of your past life, and your remorse over the sins of your previous life,

          2) your desire for God's forgiveness and mercy through the act of sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son (Jesus Christ),

          3) your desire to know God's leadership in your life,

          4) your desire to learn more of God's truth through Bible study,

          5) your desire to find fellowship with genuine believers.

          Jesus said of the people of God that "The kingdom of heaven is like a net that God has cast into the sea, and it gathers of every kind: When it is full, it will be pulled up on the shore, where they will sit down to sort the catch, and they will collect the good fish in baskets, but the bad things will be thrown away. This is the way it will be at the end of the world: The angels shall come forth, and they will separate the unrighteous persons from among those justified by God . . ."

          Jesus spoke of the people of God as being like a seed that is growing secretly, saying, "As for the kingdom of God, it is as if a person should cast seed into the ground; and then he sleeps, and he rises up night and day to see that the seed is springing forth and always growing up, although he knows not exactly how. The Earth is bringing forth fruit from itself; first the blade, then the ears of corn, and after that the fullness of the ears of corn. And when all the fruit of the Earth has come forth, immediately God will use the sickle to reap the fields, because the harvest-time has come."

          It's also important for all of us to remember this:

          1) WE SPEAK TO GOD by our prayers.

          2) GOD SPEAKS TO US by the words of Holy Scripture.

          So we must try to read His words and His Book just as often as we possibly can!!

          God wants to bless you for all your long efforts to understand this very confusing and difficult Universe in which we live— so let Him reward your search with the grace of His forgiveness and enlightenment!
